The day will start with a longer active yoga session in the morning, and a shorter more breath centric restorative class in the evening. Working on all levels of the embodiment, strengthening an inner connection and cultivating greater awareness and freedom in the body through yoga.
During the sacred sound week, prepared by the asana and pranayama practice, Gayatri will lead the sound workshops. This is not about singing, rather sounding from your heart. Using the support of sacred instruments to resonate with the voice the work will explore how singing bowls, gongs, drums, flute and percussion make chanting, sounding, south baths a natural and sacred experience.
Price: £490 per person; £200 single supplement. Includes half board in self-catering accommodation for 7 nights in a shared room with ensuite bathroom (light breakfast, fresh juice, vegetarian lunch, help yourself to herbal teas and coffee anytime); all tuition (13 yoga classes and 7 sound sessions), use of the pool, grounds and vegetable garden. "You're such an inspiring teacher Zoe. I never think I can do any of the things you end up making so easy for us! I've come back... feeling absolutely fantastic. I can't wait for next year." - Caroline, Theatre Director, 2015
"Attending a yoga week with Zoe has restored our enthusiasm for and commitment to yoga. We have returned home rejuvenated and inspired to practice regularly at home. Zoe teaches to small classes with careful attention to the detail of the asanas and reference to underlying yogic philosophy. Twice daily classes over six days allow time to explore and develop one's practice. This was a wonderful week in good company and we very much hope to go again!" - Mark and Romey, Accountant and Teacher, 2016
